Our team in ANZ is a small but dedicated core team, focused on growing the business in the region. You’ll be joining:

  • Harmjan (Director) – Leads the business in ANZ and oversees all client engagements.
  • Chelsea (Lead Consultant) – Manages project delivery and serves as your mentor.
 

Depending on project needs, we also bring in experienced colleagues from our HQ in the Netherlands. Over the past year, team members like Sander and Youri have flown in for extended assignments to support our projects.

We also work closely with Mendix, our technology partner, to ensure we deliver the best solutions to our clients.

You will be the third local Australian employee, playing a key role in the company’s future growth.

  • Your mentor will be Chelsea, guiding your development and helping you grow within the team.
  • Your manager will be Harmjan, who is involved in all client engagements, ensuring you work closely together from day one.

What does the first two years look like?

The first two years focus on mastering Mendix, building low-code solutions for clients, and growing your skills in a supportive team environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience with diverse projects, develop technical and client management expertise, and set a strong foundation for your career.

You’ll typically travel 2–3 days per sprint (every 2–3 weeks) to cities like Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane. Travel includes flights and hotel stays, usually with a colleague, ensuring a healthy balance between onsite collaboration and office work.

From Monday to Thursday, you’ll focus on client work, mixing onsite and office days. Remote work starts at one day a week during your first six months and grows to two days later. Fridays are team days at the CAPE office, with lunch, team meetings, and occasional drinks or activities.

You’ll start your day flexibly (07:00–09:00), with coffee at our office barista. Mornings involve stand-ups and development using Mendix, with 50% of your time hands-on coding and the rest in meetings. Lunch is flexible, followed by development and workshops. Some days wrap up with drinks or activities.

Our main office is in Sydney’s Barangaroo (WeWork Sussex 1), a modern and sustainable location with great amenities like a barista (08:00–12:00), a bar (from 14:00), bike storage, and showers. You’ll also have a WeWork pass, offering global access to co-working spaces.
