About working at CAPE Digital Solutions
Frequently asked questions about working at CAPE
What does the first two years look like?
The first two years focus on mastering Mendix, building low-code solutions for clients, and growing your skills in a supportive team environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience with diverse projects, develop technical and client management expertise, and set a strong foundation for your career.
How much do you need to travel?
You’ll typically travel 2–3 days per sprint (every 2–3 weeks) to cities like Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane. Travel includes flights and hotel stays, usually with a colleague, ensuring a healthy balance between onsite collaboration and office work.
How does your week and day look like?
From Monday to Thursday, you’ll focus on client work, mixing onsite and office days. Remote work starts at one day a week during your first six months and grows to two days later. Fridays are team days at the CAPE office, with lunch, team meetings, and occasional drinks or activities.
You’ll start your day flexibly (07:00–09:00), with coffee at our office barista. Mornings involve stand-ups and development using Mendix, with 50% of your time hands-on coding and the rest in meetings. Lunch is flexible, followed by development and workshops. Some days wrap up with drinks or activities.
What is the office like?
Our main office is in Sydney’s Barangaroo (WeWork Sussex 1), a modern and sustainable location with great amenities like a barista (08:00–12:00), a bar (from 14:00), bike storage, and showers. You’ll also have a WeWork pass, offering global access to co-working spaces.
Why choose a small consulting firm over the big 4 or a large corporation?
You’ll have more autonomy, variety, and faster growth in a close-knit team. Your role extends beyond client projects to include sales, marketing, and business development, with direct mentorship and immediate impact from day one.
